On Friday, October 17, 2025, Thomas Kammeier welcomes star chef Markus Semmler to our event series “Thomas Kammeier & Friends” at the event restaurant the CORD.
Look forward to this special culinary evening:
Thomas Kammeier invites his long-time friend and esteemed colleague Markus Semmler to make a guest appearance at the Cord. The idea for this came about during an evening of Doppelkopf together and now the playing cards are being swapped for the cooking pots.
About the person:
Markus Semmler was born into the world of gastronomy and has worked in renowned establishments such as the Romantikhotel in Bad Hersfeld, Petermanns Kunststuben in Zurich and the Hotel Hohenhaus in Herleshausen. He has been an integral part of the Berlin gastronomy scene for over twenty years – as a two-time “Berlin Master Chef” and holder of a Michelin star (2015).
The experienced TV and celebrity chef – who has appeared on TV shows such as “Die Küchenschlacht” – has cooked for top international politicians in the Chancellery, including George Bush, Bill Clinton, Joe Biden, Helmut Kohl, Gerhard Schröder, Angela Merkel, Olaf Scholz and Emmanuel Macron. Semmler has also treated guests from the royal houses of Great Britain, Spain and Sweden to culinary delights.
Together with his team, he organizes exclusive events of all sizes – from 2 to 2000 guests.
